75% College Attendance & Bunk Calculator
Check your current percentage, find out exactly how many lectures you can safely skip, or calculate how many you need to attend to avoid debarment.
How to Calculate Safe Bunks: If your attendance is currently ≥ 75%, your safe bunk limit is Safe Bunks = ⌊(Attended × 100) ÷ Target%⌋ − Total Classes Held. For example, if you attended 45 out of 50 classes (90%), you can safely miss ⌊4500 ÷ 75⌋ − 50 = 10 classes without falling below 75%. Conversely, if your attendance is < 75%, the mandatory consecutive classes you must attend is Required = ⌈(Target% × Total − 100 × Attended) ÷ (100 − Target%)⌉.

Frequently Asked Questions (College Attendance & Bunking)
How is college attendance percentage calculated? โผ
The basic formula is: (Total Classes Attended รท Total Classes Held) ร 100. For example, attending 45 out of 60 lectures gives exactly (45 รท 60) ร 100 = 75.00%.
How do you calculate how many classes you can safely bunk? โผ
If current attendance is above 75%, safe bunks = โ (Attended - 0.75 ร Total) รท 0.75 โ. For instance, with 60 attended out of 70 total (85.7%), you can safely miss โ (60 - 52.5) รท 0.75 โ = 10 consecutive lectures and still remain at 75%.
Does medical leave automatically increase attendance percentage? โผ
No. In most Indian universities (VTU, Mumbai University, AKTU), medical certificates lower the eligibility cutoff from 75% down to 60% or 65% (condonation). It does not artificially add attendance credits to your ERP portal ledger.
Can a college detain you if attendance is 74.8%? โผ
Under automated university ERPs, anything strictly below 75.00% is automatically flagged for hall ticket debarment. While certain HODs exercise discretionary rounding for 74.5%+, relying on manual leniency is risky.
How many classes must I attend if my attendance is 60%? โผ
If you attended 36 out of 60 classes (60%), to reach 75%, formula is โ (0.75 ร 60 - 36) รท 0.25 โ = โ 9 รท 0.25 โ = 36 consecutive classes without missing any.
